Predict timing of growth to identifying windows of accelerated adaptation, during which the developing body responds best to speed, stamina and strength training, for short term fitness, individualised coaching and long term athletic development.
Layered on top of the SURPASSPORT security infrastructure, where only persons who need access are granted access, SURPASSPORT uniquely implements a series of controls and measures to directly impact compliance with the Safeguarding Children Act 2015.
Communications are always directed to the athlete profile, and received / actioned by users authorised to that profile. For adult players, the user is the player, and for children, it's always parents or guardians.
Where parents grant access to their teenage youths, SURPASSPORT ensures that the young player also receives the notifications and can respond to feedback requests, such as how they enjoyed a training session, but in all cases, the coach cnnnot directly contact the player.
Lifts & Drivers
Meeting in the club car park for an away fixture, some drivers generously offer lifts.
The lifts tracking feature goes one stage further: in the car park, assign a child to a driver is easily recorded, whereby the child's parent receive a brief notification and a button to call the driver if needed, and the driver equally has the child's emergency contact details to hand.
And the club has a record of lifts arranged, should it ever be needed.
The club, and by extension the coach, are expected to keep accurate attendance records, for the children and also the coaches. In some cases, an administrator is assigned to a squad, particularly if numbers require it.
All adults working with children and vulnerable persons must be vetted by the National Vetting bureau, and which must be periodically renewed.
On SURPASSPORT, once the Club enables vetting controls, ONLY mentors with a current vetting status can access juvenile records. Only the designated Children's Officer has access to this information, but the status and expiry are tracked, so that advance notice of pending expiry are issued to the both the coach / mentor and Children's Officer. If not renewed in time, access is automatically suspended until the new vetting has been confirmed.
Some training course are mandatory, including Safeguarding Children training, some of which also require refreshers. SURPASSPORT simplifies tracking of both course attendance and pending expiry, much as for Vetting outlined above, with the difference that access is not automatically blocked on expiry.
The Children's Officer can nominate which training requirements are mandatory, appropriate to their sport and structures.
