Basketball Ireland Player Welfare App

Basketball Ireland Player Welfare App
Basketball Ireland have adopted SURPASSPORT to monitor and manage workload in young players. Following from a successful trial with the U15 Women’s International team, Basketball Ireland expect to adopt SURPASSPORT for each of their underage Academy and International squads, as well as recommending it to affiliated clubs and schools.
Kevin Foley, Basketball Ireland’s Health and Wellbeing Consultant, spoke about SURPASSPORT “The app is a great tool for player, parents and coaches alike to monitor the individuals overall activity levels and how it is impacting on their physical and mental stress so that we can better program sessions for optimum team and personal outcomes. One of the main components is that we can track enjoyment and be able to spot early if the athlete is having any issues on or off the court”.
Adrian Geissel, SURPASSPORT Founder, adds “it’s a privilege to work with Basketball Ireland and to support them in helping to monitor and educate their players on individual performance, so that each may best prepare themselves for competition, when it matters.”
Basketball Ireland have agreed a Special Offer from SURPASSPORT, only for affiliated Clubs and Schools: FREE “Setup & On-boarding” to help configure teams and structures, to import player detail and a “Coach / Mentor Orientation” workshop, normally worth over €300.
